The Union Minister has approved 15 projects for the construction of roads and bridges in Delhi NCR at ?53,000 crore investment. Of these, 14 projects are in progress. With the completion of these projects, pollution will reduce in Delhi NCR and people will not have to waste their time in long traffic jams

He informed that Delhi-Mumbai Express Highway which would be about 1380 kms long would be the longest expressway in India and will be ready by March-2023 at ?95,000 crore investment. It is being developed as an 8-lane access control greenfield expressway, which can be expanded to 12 lanes by adding four more lanes in the future. A median of 21 meters width is being built on it, which can be reduced in the future to widen the expressway. About 160 kms length of this expressway falls in Haryana on which ?10,400 crore is being spent

Out of this, work has also been awarded for the construction of 130 km long expressway which will pass through Gurugram, Palwal and Nuh districts of Haryana. Wayside facilities will be built at six places in the part falling in Haryana which includes various facilities for passengers like resorts, restaurants, dormitories, hospitals, food courts, fuel stations, besides parking garages for trucks. There will also be commercial space for logistic park and helicopter ambulance service would also be available on this expressway to take the accident victims to the nearest hospital at the earliest
